Quentin Monnet

Welcome

I work as a software engineer for Hedgehog, on the Hedgehog network fabric. I maintain bpftool. Welcome to my web page.

I enjoy working on open-source projects, with a focus on networking and security, and I have been contributing to the eBPF ecosystem. Sometimes, I write a little.

A word on my background? After defending my PhD thesis in computer science in 2015, I worked on several solutions for fast network packet processing, first by joining 6WIND’s R&D team and contributing to research projects, then at Netronome, which designs hardware network flow processors. In 2020 I joined Isovalent, to work on Cilium’s eBPF datapath to provide networking, observability, and security in cloud-native environments. In 2024, shortly after Isovalent was acquired by Cisco, I joined Hedgehog, to work on the dataplane of the open-source network fabric created by the start-up.
